As the year winds down, this will be our last post for 2018. Look for more communications from us in early January. Thank you again for making time to meet with us in November. We hope to be back in Haines sometime in March. Please stay tuned!

A couple of quick updates:

* UA Land office will be closed Monday, Dec. 24 through Jan. 2.

* We are working on hiring a local caretaker in Haines and will have an update for you as soon as possible.

* Although hunting is prohibited on university land, right now we are looking more closely at doing a trial run during the 2019 hunting season in the area west of the Chilkat River. More information to come soon.

We are working to answer more of the questions that came up at the community meeting and are populating the website as we go. Please check the website for the latest: http://ualandhaines.com/faqs/

Reminder about database for economic opportunities At the community meeting we mentioned that we are putting together a database of people who are interested in jobs, contracts, training or other economic opportunities connected with the timber project. Once the purchaser is selected, UA Land office will share this information with them. If you are interested, please email us your name and any information about what you are looking for. We will then contact you with more specific questions so that we can compile the information.

Happy holidays to you and your families!
